Event Description

Social entrepreneur Olin Lagon shares personal stories from several social ventures based in Hawai‘i that have brought in millions of dollars in income in support of social causes and engaged thousands of people across the state to lead by example. These ventures created jobs in some of our most
underserved communities and have been featured prominently in national press (including a recent presentation on Apple’s new operating system).

OLIN LAGON was raised in public housing projects and graduated from the University of Hawai‘i with degrees in
Accounting and International Entrepreneurship. He has worked on several startups that blend business and social/
environmental objectives and designed software adopted by Fortune 500 companies. Lagon currently leads Kanu
Hawai‘i’s social venture and technology efforts.

A SAKAMAKI EXTRAORDINARY LECTURE 2010, FROM UH MANOA'S OUTREACH COLLEGE.

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.
