It is now possible to replace all types of combustion engines from car size to truck and agricultural equipment ( soon also boats ) with just as quiet air compressed engines. Just did it 2 days ago. Several formats available. Monoenergy engine covers 100 to 150 miles : fill up costs a little over 1 dollar if you fill the tank by plugging in the wall. Bi-energy engine uses gas , half gallon to cover 65 miles yields an autonomy of over 1000 miles on one tank : bi-energy engine allows air tank to refill as vehicule moves . And there are more advantages : decentralized manufacturing of these vehicles creates high paying jobs virtually anywhere. Also possible to use combination of nano solar and windpower to create compressed air. French utility company EDF just published a report stating that " if half of france's houses roofs were painted with solar paint , all french people energy needs would be satisfied"; what are we waiting for ? Nano paint research in Wales (UK) and several other world wide locatins . Just saw a mom-and-pop horizontal wind mill that functions from 2 km / hr to 160 km / hr wind ; silent ; invisible on skylines ; does not kill birds ; max size : less than 4 ft cube of space ; totally OK with shifting winds and perfect for in between city buildings ; no catch. Does anyone know if there any research done or published on this by US Government sponsored programs ?

We don't have energy issues, we have socio - political issues.

Energy tech just needs to be implemented. Policy makers need to be educated, citizenry needs to be educated. Awareness on all levels needs to be raised. Which is exactly what you're doing. Mahalo for doing so. Keep spreading the word. If you're local, consider bringing a whitepaper or datasheet that explains your technology to tonight's sustainability forum in Hilo.
thanks Brent I am now local... in southern France ; arriving in Oahu march 27 - thanks for your support ; if you would , please let's stay in touch via email : i badly need to become educated about all ecological events in the islands

Aloha, Yes there are many options for low to no carbon transportation. I got here with wind power (sailing). I Run my personnel vehicle and work Vans on recycled vegetable oil (Biodiesel). And we have an electric car that we charge with our Photovoltaic panels. Dwight
Dwight, right on!
