When Glenn Martinez and his wife Liz opened their farm in Waimänalo over a decade ago, Glenn knew he would farm organically. What he couldn't have fathomed is how his farm would evolve over that decade, seamlessly aligning with the principles of Permaculture. And not by luck, mind you. Glenn is an articulate, mechanically minded, forward-thinking famer and stands by his convictions of education and hard work. It s no accident Olomana Gardens is leading the charge in Hawaii for aquaponics, one of the smartest and most sustainable ways to farm organically.
Thus shall ye see this fleeting world; a star at dawn, a bubble in a stream, a flash of lightning in the summer sky, an echo, a rainbow, a dream. - Diamond Sutra

As an Individual, Business or Organization I've made the following efforts to give back to the community, be mindful of the environment, reduce waste, and/or stimulate the local economy.
Although our products are made in Indonesia, the designs that we create are inspired by our life in Hawaii. We employ a Hawai'i based business consultant and web designer and our current intern is a 17-year old home school student whose dream is to open a sustainable clothing boutique. We hope to add more products to the line that are made in Hawai'i. We support local charitable organizations such as North Hawaii Hospice, Hanahouoli School & Punahou Financial Aid Program. My husband, myself and our two sons are all born and raised in Hawaii and hope to sustain ourselves and home school our children via the success of our business. We support the local fashion industry through Hawaii Fashion Incubator and the money that we make goes back into Hawaii's economy.
