Darren Kimura discusses some of the renewable energy technologies being explored here in Hawai‘i, local prospects for green jobs, and how we can each make simple changes to reduce our energy consumption.

The Sakamaki Extraordinary Lectures are an annual summer series extending the intellectual resources of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa to the community.

The 2009 lectures support Outreach College's Sustain Your Brain initiative and provide a multi-dimensional examination of Hawai‘i's progress in the development of clean and renewable energy.

Aloha Darren, this is Brent from Green Collar Technologies. I had sent you a couple emails regarding our local green job and renewable energy efforts. From our conversation I gathered you were interested in working with other Hawaii Island based organization succeed in renewable energy education and green jobs.

If you're still interested in working with our 501c3, we'd love to talk story sometime.

I am impressed with your energetic lecture on video. Hawaii is a good place to start your prototype and expand to the world...It hit me. While I was staying in Hawaii, I received mesages and strength, and I finally published a book in the U.S.! Your work is very interesting. Clean energy is future enerty and will be the main part of the industry from now.
